Our Wines
Fife Vineyards specializes in red wines based on the unique personalities of single vineyards with unique terroir. The three primary themes are:
Napa Valley Bordeaux Varieties- Blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot from the well-drained soils of the Napa Valley.
- Wines from our Spring Mountain estate including "Spring Mountain Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon" (our piece de resistance).
- Blends of Syrah, Grenache Noir, Carignane and Petite Syrah.
- MAX, Napa Valley: Inspired by the primordial wines of the Northern Rhône.
- L´Attitude 39, Mendocino: Southern Rhône varieties with a New World attitude.
- We make several each vintage: Old Vines, Napa Valley; Uplands and Redhead, Mendocino
- Hillside terroir, wines of personality – high on beauty and low on the beast.

2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley |
| Forward aromas of black currant, cedar, and mocha are echoed in the bright and lingering flavors. Even in its youth, the wine is surprisingly approachable, yet shows a refined intensity and a silky tannin structure that promises to reward those who cellar it. We like to pour this wine into a decanter since aerating it seems to magnify the wines softer more juicy side. More Details |

2004 Reserve Merlot, Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley |
| We love merlot that opens with aromas of dark chocolate and dark berries and this one does precisely that. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and extremely rich, has great balance, and is very seamless with tannins as soft as felt and flavors reminiscent of blackberries, bing cherries, liquorish, and cassis on a mocha background. We think the 2004 is very elegant -- lots of subtle spices in the nose and palate, great richness, and a long lush finish. More Details |

3 and 4 Max Cuvée, Napa Valley |
|
| Our Max Cuvée is about density of texture and of flavor. The wine was inspired by the concentrated syrah based wines of the Northern Rhône, but it is distinctly Californian in style. This unique red wine blend is made principally from old-vine syrah, petite syrah, and zinfandel grown in contiguous blocks in our vineyard on the alluvial benchland between Calistoga and St. Helena. 2005 LAttitude 39, Mendocino |
| The 2005 LAttitude 39 is a wine with more than a little attitude. With a woodsy, dark spice contributed by Syrah, its loaded with intriguing aromas that bring us back to southern France: wild berries, licorice, bitter chocolate, espresso, plus the heady scents of wild herbs, wood spice and sunbaked stones. Charmingly forward and rich on the palate, with a zesty finish that invites another taste. A wine guaranteed to adjust your attitude. More Details |

2004 Syrah Old Yokayo Rancho Vineyard, Mendocino |
|
| Throughout the wine-growing world, there are only a few vineyards that have even the look of potential greatness. This is one of those perfect looking sites and the resulting rich, saturated wine is our vineyard-designate Syrah. Perched on the rocky western slopes of the northern Ukiah Valley, the young vineyard welcomes the morning sun and catches the afternoon winds, allowing the slow, steady flavor maturation of this small-berried Shiraz clone. 2004 Redhead Red, Mendocino |
| The 2004 Redhead Red has a soft entry followed by fruit flavors of blackberry and plum, a felt-like texture and a long finish. The full-bodied wine shows aromas of cedar, smoke, earth and stones with hints of espresso and cocoa. Mouthwatering with an easygoing appeal! More Details |

2005 Redhead Rosé Mendocino |
|
| The 2005 Fife Vineyards Redhead Rosé is inspired by the elegant and crisp flavors of the rosés from France's Southern Rhône and Provence. Like the best of these wines, we consider our Redhead Rosé as a red wine meant to be chilled. A crisp wine packed full of fresh fruit flavors with hints of cherry, red raspberry, and pomegranate. We serve it as a stand-alone aperitif and quaff it with seafood, BBQ, olives and cheeses, and most Pacific Rim cuisine. More Details |

2004 Mendocino Uplands Zinfandel, Mendocino |
| With zinfandel, our goal is to produce a wine with strong and dense fruit, liveliness, personality and beautyand one that expresses a sense of place. Achieving this goal, we believe, requires focusing on growing the best grapes and then handling them gently. We hope, above all, to avoid over ripeness, excessive wood, excessive alcohol, and any other factor that would mask the nuances of flavors so unique to this personality-rich variety. More Details |
